The Clinical Nurse Specialist will have extensive experience in the specialty of Wound Care Services and is an expert in evidence-based nursing practice. The acute care CNS will serve as a demonstrated leader, educator, researcher, consultant, and facilitator across the Wound Care spectrum. The Acute Care CNS will collaborate with front line nursing leaders to develop an annual education plan for specified units within the hospital. Responsibilities of the Clinical Nurse Specialist include evaluating patient outcomes through data analysis and collection to continually improve the quality of care. The Clinical Nurse Specialist will identify patient and staff educational needs, facilitate the development of educational programs, and perform necessary evaluations to determine the effectiveness of educational initiatives.
