Position: Billing & Payroll Clerk

Reports to: Director of Operations

Home Instead Senior Care is currently looking for Data Entry Billing and Payroll Clerk. The Data Entry Billing and Payroll Clerk is responsible for maintaining the fiscal integrity of our company through timely and accurate billing. They are responsible for the daily functions of the billing cycle. This position performs with the highest level of customer service practicing diplomatic interactions with internal and external contacts. With a keen attention to detail the Billing & Payroll Clerk works to ensure proper and compliant billing practices.

Required Skills:

Computer skills including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel (at a minimum of 75% Intermediate level) is preferred. Using Excel and formulas to complete spreadsheets. Good written and verbal communication and documentation.

Essential functions include but are not limited to:

  • Timely and accurate remittance posting.
  • Researching and resolving of posting issues.
  • Handle employees inquires, employment verifications,
  • Enter ACH payments in various systems and make bank deposits.
  • Generate client invoices
  • Proper and timely processing of invoices and payments
  • Assist CareGivers with Portal and Telephony.
  • Complete requests for information from long-term care insurance carriers.
  • Compile and submit long-term care insurance invoices/logs and VA paperwork.
  • Monitoring CareGiver hours and mileage according to company policies 
  • Process bi-monthly payrolls for the company, verify accuracy.
  • Calculate deductions and increases for update in the payroll system
Additional Functions:

Assists with other department functions as assigned such as answering the phones in the absence of the Administrative Assistant/Receptionist.
