POSITION OVERVIEW
The Receptionist/First Impression Specialist plays a critical role in creating a welcoming and inviting environment for all Home Instead Senior Care customers whether they stop in to the office or contact us via the phone. In addition, the First Impression Specialist plays a significant role within the Human Resources department in enhancing the CAREGiver Experience and creating positive impressions.
The First Impression Specialist will be responsible for the front foyer area and will, typically, be the first person a guest to Home Instead Senior Care sees and the first person a caller speaks with. Therefore, the ability to connect and build relationships is critical.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The specific duties and responsibilities of the Director of Impressions include:
Ensure a welcoming experience for guests as they enter the office by:
Taking ownership and keeping the front foyer area neat and free of clutter
Ensuring that any materials placed in the foyer area are approved by the Human Resources Supervisor prior to placement
Greeting all guests to Home Instead Senior Care following the Greeting Guests Process
Ensuring expected visitor names are listed on the Welcome Screen in the foyer area
Answer incoming phone calls in a professional and warm manner
Act as a customer advocate by directing callers/visitors to the appropriate Home Instead Senior Care team member for assistance
Utilize past caregiving experience to build strong relationships with our professional CAREGivers and be a resource for CAREGivers to talk with, share stories with, ask questions to, etc.
Assist the Recruitment and Retention Coordinator and the Human Resources department by:
Assisting with monthly CAREGiver events
Stuffing paychecks with payroll stuffers (i.e., event announcements, newsletters)
Writing and routing birthday, anniversary and sympathy cards
Work with the staff and CAREGivers to correct clock in and clock out discrepancies in Santrax
Assist with filing and other support duties as needed

REQUIRED SKILLS AND CHARACTERISTICS
A successful Director of Impressions is an individual who is:
 Personable and warm
 Compassionate
 Able to build strong relationships
 Able to multi-task
 Comfortable in a fast-paced environment
 Organized and works with a sense of urgency
 Able to operate a multiple phone line system
 Able to navigate basic computer programs
 Willing to follow standard processes and procedures
 Experience as a CAREGiver, preferred
