Senior Analyst Maintenance Planning
Job Description
American Airlines, Inc. has multiple openings for a Senior Analyst Maintenance Planning to perform the following duties: Support long-range strategic initiatives focused on dependability by analyzing delays/cancels and top performance drivers. Review current flight schedules and correlate maintenance performance to schedule parameters like aircraft access, ground time, routings, etc. Perform complex statistical analyses to determine causal factors for performance problems and offer solutions. Serve as the Senior Analyst liaison with internal IT developers for program definition, report definition, and iterative testing for new software that compares equipment maintenance requirements against published operating schedules. Develop models to forecast line maintenance performance and recommend effective solutions to improve dependability in future schedules. Support budget demand model for workload-driven Line Maintenance system-wide headcount forecasts. Lead discussions with internal departments, including capacity planning, Maintenance Operations Control (MOC), Integrated Operations Control (IOC), Operations Planning and Performance, and others. Up to 10% travel.
Job Qualifications
Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field, plus 3 years of experience in large scale commercial airline maintenance and scheduling operations, and demonstrated experience in: Large scale airline Maintenance programs and maintenance planning; Sabre AirVision Planning and Scheduling software for schedule analysis; Advanced Microsoft Excel programming and SQL programming skills; Data mining and reporting using COGNOS, SAS, or Teradata; and Knowledge of Linear Programming models and Regression analysis.
A Bachelor's degree 5 years of experience in large scale commercial airline maintenance and scheduling operations accepted in the alternative.
Work Schedule: 40 hours per week/8 a.m.-5 p.m./M-F.
