This is an entry-level position with directed work according to a documented series of events. The position supports the flow of product throughout the production space through explicit direction and is responsible for ensuring that departmental production and quality standards are met.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • One year previous experience using a computer

 

SKILLS

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operations and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Must have strong written, verbal and typing skills
  • Sufficient visual acuity to detect abnormalities in product
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals

 

REASONING ABILITY

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Ensure sufficient quantities throughout the production process, moving product via various modes such as pallet jack or 6 foot tall cart
  • Conduct DISH’s testing process which includes visual inspection, use of hand-held tools, and operating/connecting computer components
  • Use of a power cloth buffer to maintain visual standards
  • Use of a printing / stamping machine to refresh materials, meeting quantity and quality goals
  • Bagging/packing equipment for shipping
  • Downloading of software and computer operation
  • Operation of Shanklin machine and ensuring it is running properly and is maintained to standards
  • Ensure that all equipment and the surrounding area are neat, clean, well-organized and maintained to standards
  • Bring all parts shortages, equipment, procedural and personnel problems to the attention of management
  • Keep necessary written or computerized logs and records as requested
