Controls Engineer - Full-time / Part-time

Coordination of Safety Operating System activities including overhead safety, lifting and rigging and Energy Control and Lockout procedures.
Plan, direct and supervise a group of skilled hourly engaged in construction, maintenance, repair, installation of equipment and machinery.
Lead skilled trades/maintenance personnel to evaluate controls requirements for maintaining and improving production yields, output, and up time.
Supervise preventive maintenance schedules, inspections and repairs to minimize down time.
Coordinate and schedule manpower and materials to meet maintenance requirements to minimize down time.
Responsible for monitoring day-to-day production processes, tooling, and operations related to automation equipment.
Program PLCs for automation controls
Perform other related duties as required.

Use Vis Plant monitoring software to review cycle times of automation, review and follow up automation project's and installations
Troubleshoot PLC, robot, and other automation problems
Update program backups for automation
Program new installations of Body tooling and conveyor systems
Reprogram automation for engineering changes and improvements
Coordinate automation campaigns

Qualifications:

5+ years of Automation experience in a heavy manufacturing environment (Automotive highly preferred)
5+ years of PLC programming/troubleshooting experience
Experience with Control Logic
Knowledge of PLC5
Robotics knowledge as it relates to PLCs
Experience supervising Union employees
Completely open to shift- no exceptions
Desire to work heavy OT (55-65 hours/week)
