Essential Functions:

* Contributing to a designated project or initiative to meet a KP business objective.

* Report development and analytics.

* Project management - planning, execution, and measurement.

* Learning new applications needed to complete assignments or support the execution of business objectives.

* Job shadowing in other functional areas.

* Performing additional duties as required.

Department Profile:

Create and or review business cases to support the acquisition of information technology software to support the Health Plan operations.

Internship Project:

Working with members of the work group, the intern will use excel (and possibly access) as a platform to create models for the quantitative support of benefits to be delivered by deployment of IT solutions. Various drivers, metrics and KPIs will be considered for adoption of a standardized template for use by finance professionals outside of the immediate work group.

Desired Skill Set:

* Foundational knowledge of basic Accounting and Finance concepts

* Foundational knowledge of financial investment valuation techniques (e.g. discounted cash flow analysis)

* Intermediate-Level Microsoft Excel skills (e.g. VLookUp Tables, Pivot Tables, etc.)

* Pursuing a bachelor's degree or have graduated from an accredited university within the last year.

* High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required.

License, Certification, Registration

Additional Requirements:

* Aptitude to perform data and process analytics and formulating solutions

* Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

Preferred Qualifications:

* 3.0 GPA or above.

* Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.

* Proven ability to build effective working relationships as well as strong interpersonal skills.

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills

* Ability to learn quickly and experience producing high quality work in short periods of time.
