OVERVIEW:
Working as a Full-Time Driver (DOT-CDL) - Class A, Over the Road, you will be representing the Fastenal fleet as it delivers to brokers and customers. This position is for an Over the Road Driver, 1 week running and 2 days home schedule.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
oProviding excellent service to our stores and customers by delivering product in a prompt, efficient manner
oInteracting with our shipping and receiving departments
oMaintaining a clean work environment within our equipment
REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
The following skills and qualifications are required for this position:
o Excellent written and oral communication skills
oCurrent Class A Commercial Driver's License in good standing
oCurrent Health Card
oAbility to obtain a Haz Mat endorsement
oAbility to meet Fastenal driving record requirements
o Possess strong working knowledge of the DOT regulations in regards to a CDL Driver
oAbility to maintain DOT regulated Drivers Hours-of-Service (HOS) paperwork
o Willingness and ability to drive interstate routes across state lines
oAbility to lift up to 70 lbs. and maneuver up to 150 lbs
o Ability to scale out heavy loads; 45K for Vans and 48K for flatbed
oAbility to successfully complete the required DOT drug and alcohol screens, road test, employment verification, and background check
PREFERRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
o Prior driving experience.
