wire feed welding Job Description: Welders will be welding structural steel using dual shield of flux core welders with 3/32 wire.
Fitters will be laying out and fitting up structural components referencing blue prints using a variety of measuring tape and squares. Work Environment: This is a fast paced, intense, production environment. Best candidates should have production shop experience and have had spent time working in the elements.
3 shifts: Monday - Saturday
6am - 2:30pm
2pm - 10:30pm
10pm - 6:30am
Contractors will be scheduled for mandatory overtime, so there will be hours worked outside of their schedules Qualifications: Production paced welders accustomed to shop environments looking for long term employment. Must be shift flexible, willing to fill in any shop task needed. Performance Expectations: Contractors must be able to meet production deadlines, with quality work (NO REWORK). Open to learning/doing tasks in a new way and training up other employees. Interview Information: Face to face interview with Shop Manager, or floor foreman.
Weld test- You can make as many practice runs but you cannot change any setting on the welding machine. You will do a "fill it" test which is 2 pieces of steel you make into an upside down T (2-3 pass test). Once you pass that you move on to a 2G weld test with a backing plate, you're allowed to have up to an 1/8in cap. Not a timed weld test runs hot and fast take your time to let your stringer welds cool.

Bring your fabrication tools and be prepared to perform a full lay out/fit up on whichever blue prints they have available in the shop Additional Compensation: Shop bonuses 401k full benefits opportunity for promotions Additional Information: Shift differential based on shift and position.
