Job Title: Seafood Sales Manager - Food Lion

Responsible for reading, understanding and following all guidelines in the Market Standard Practice Manual, maximizing sales through excellent customer service and minimizing shrink through proper utilization of standard practices. Serve as a role model for customer service and other vital behaviors, and instill this value in all associates. Accountable for the profitability of the store Seafood Department. Maintain quality customer service. Engage and interact with customers to create a positive shopping experience. Schedule and train Seafood Department associates. Order product and maintain inventory control. Provide ongoing performance management training and conducts timely performance appraisals for direct reports. Supervise all associates in the Seafood Department. Enforce all seafood policies. Effectively control operating figures, gross profit, wage percent and supply cost. Conduct a Physical Inventory of all on hand product and enter it into the store systems. Prepare daily department records, including the cutting list, shrink report, order control guides, checklists and Workload Planner form. Maintain daily sanitation of department. Maintain product pricing, price changes, rotation and temperature compliance. Find more efficient ways to do the job and seek to reduce costs and improve labor productivity. Continually review current Standard Practices to ensure proper Standard Practice execution. Adhere to all company guidelines, policies and standard practices. Ability to communicate with and direct associates.

Ability to follow through on requests in a timely manner.

Product knowledge in Seafood.

Ability to operate all Seafood Department equipment: steamer, knife and scale.

Understanding of and the ability to clean and reassemble all equipment as part of the sanitation process.

Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.

Ability to withstand a working environment of 45F or less for long periods of time.

Ability to weigh, price, label, organize and rotate products, perform job duties as needed and complete necessary paperwork.

Ability to meet Food Lion production standards as they change.

Ability to maintain a knife grip to fillet fish.

Ability to meet production standards established by Food Lion.

Ability to analyze situations, identify problems and implement solutions.

Ability to use the In-Store Computer and scan system.

Must have successfully completed Computer Based Training (CBT) and Training aid courses.
