We are looking for a plumbing foreman and they are willing to do contract to hire or direct hire. Pay rate will be between $26-$30 depending on skill and experience. Since this is for our Special Projects team, the jobs will be all over. This team does our shorter in duration projects (normally) and the foremen tend to bounce between projects.

JOB SUMMARY: Supervises, coordinates, inspects and performs the assembly, installation and repair of components, subsystems and systems for the appropriate trade during the construction, tenant finish-out or remodel of commercial buildings and industrial facilities. Reports to a Trade or Job Superintendent. Performs other job and Foreman related duties as required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
I. Position Specific Responsibilities
1. Prepares material take off's, layout appropriate systems and makes isometric and schematic sketches from blueprints, specifications, submittals and job orders.
2. Participates in job planning for work packages, site set-up and construction schedules.
3. Estimates worker hour requirements to meet the needs of the construction plan.
4. Establishes and adjusts work sequences to meet construction schedules utilizing knowledge of equipment capacities and assigned personnel.
5. Schedules and coordinates activities of assigned craft workers while communicating and coordinating schedules with other trades.
6. Operates and supervises operation of equipment and machinery such as backhoes, forklifts, manlifts, power tools and tampers.
7. Inspects work in progress and completed work to insure conformance to specifications.
8. Coordinates placement and storage of materials, tools and supplies to support the construction plan.
9. Eliminates construction and job site hazards as they are recognized to reduce safety incidents and their severity.
10. Estimates cost for change orders and/or contracts.
11. As required, works with tools to meet construction schedules or other demands.

II. Marketing Responsibilities
1. Responsibly and professionally represents the project team and the company at formal and informal meetings with customer counterparts.
2. Assists in the relationship building with preferred customers by utilizing the concepts and techniques learned in company-sponsored training.

III. Financial Responsibilities
1. Protects the company's interest by managing aspects of assigned work packages.
2. Manages the proper utilization, maintenance and condition of all company owned/furnished equipment, power tools, jigs, fixtures and consumables under his/her cognizance.

IV. Supervisory/Management
1. Trains and supervises workers on company policies, safety practices, regulations and installation procedures.
2. Completes and maintains time records and work reports.
3. Conducts timely, complete and meaningful APPLEs for assigned or supervised Partners
4. Provides leadership and influences issues affecting his/her chosen trade.
5. Exemplifies the tenets of Servant Leadership within the company culture.
6. Assures effective growth of assigned Partners so they are given the opportunity to achieve career goals.

V. Coaching and Training
1. By example, fosters and develops improvements in company functional processes and procedures.
2. Using trade career paths, strengthens own skills and urges subordinates to improve their capabilities via training and advanced education.


POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
BEHAVIORAL: Provides leadership, shares technical expertise and experience to other Partners. Sets the example relative to maturity, attitude and work ethic. Shows good professional appearance. Performs as a self-managed individual.
EXPERIENCE:
1. Five to ten (5-10) years in mechanical contracting working as a construction foreman or similar function.
2. Stable work history.
3. Possesses associated licenses and/or certifications required by trade for the position, ie. Journeyman's license for plumbers
JOB SKILLS AND EDUCATION:
1. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, submittals, specifications, details and job orders; perform a variety of duties which may often change; repeat tasks of short duration according to a set procedure and work within precise limits and standards of numerical accuracy.
2. Ability to effectively plan, organize, delegate and control the work process.
3. Strong interpersonal and people skills.
4. Good written and oral communications skills
