Nonprofit Health Center Looking for Bilingual Benefits Specialist to Join Their Team!
Minimum Qualifications:
- Spanish/ English bilingual capabilities
- 6+ months in a customer service/administrative based role
- An Associates Degree
Job Description:
- Screening patients for eligibility for entitlement programs, and assisting in completing necessary applications and/or paperwork
- Qualifying applicable patients for the appropriate health benefits
- Processing health benefits and or financial assistance applications and associated documentation.
- Scheduling appointments for patients to see them before their visits to the physician.
- Call uninsured or under-insured patients who may qualify for health benefits to discuss possible benefit options
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of current health benefit options and be able to assist patients and staff with health benefit questions.
- Maintaining patient confidentiality per HIPAA and the PHC Corporate Compliance Program.
Pay:
$13-$14/hr
Hours:
8am-4:30pm, Monday - Friday
