Description:
As a Hostler Driver/Yard Jockey, you’ll be responsible for moving trailers 2-5 blocks throughout our Salina plant and distribution center and on public roads.
You may move full loads or empty trailers.
You will be responsible to maintain DOT rules and regulations.
This position requires a class A CDL, experience is preferred but not required.
This position offers 3 days during the week and every other Sunday,
12 hour shifts.
The position offers an hourly wage, with paid overtime every other week, a shift incentive for nights.
This position is responsible for movement of semi-trailers to warehouse and other locations as needed to unload or load raw materials packaging or finished product.
May operate company vehicles to deliver products or pick up supplies as directed from all warehouses in and out of town.
Performs light maintenance on company trucks such as gas oil tires and batteries; including daily equipment checklist on company semi.
Performs cleaning duties on vehicles and ensures that they are properly serviced as required.
Other duties as assigned.

Qualification:
E Education\: High School degree or equivalent.
Years of Related Experience\: 0-1 year of related experience.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities\: Must have basic computer skills; Must have a valid Class A motor vehicle license; Ability to operate single and tandem axle trucks; Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions; Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions short correspondence and memos; Take and pass all CDL physicals and take and pass a drug and alcohol test including random testing. Will comply with all general safety policies and procedures in accordance with Company Local State and Federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) rules and regulations.
