Description

Machine Operator I

The Machine Operator operates and monitors manual and/or automated bottling, labeling, and packaging equipment in a beverage production process. Replenishes materials as needed and maintains cleanliness of equipment and production areas.

Shift and Schedule

This is a full time permanent position working on our 2nd shift. Our 2nd shift typically works 3:15pm until the work is finished. Must be available to work 8-10 hours per shift depending on the business needs. Flexibility to work overtime and weekends is required as business needs dictate.

Pay Rate

The starting pay rate for this position is $13.00 an hour plus a shift differential.

Position Responsibilities
  1. Operate and monitor high speed liquid filling and labeling equipment as assigned.
  2. Replenish production materials and utilize material handling equipment as needed.
  3. Handle empty cases and solve other line issues.
  4. Assist maintenance staff while setting up machinery and performing preventative maintenance and mechanical repairs.
  5. Train other operators on use of machinery.
  6. Monitor line for defective materials and perform best practice quality checks on line and equipment as well as any other related work in accordance with line quality.
  7. Record all data as required (i.e. charts, necessary process adjustments based on data findings, etc.).
  8. Clean and sanitize all equipment and facility as required.
  9. Clearly communicate any potential problems or issues.

Qualifications

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED)
  • 1-3 years prior experience with operation of high-speed production machinery and monitoring of product quality
  • Lift, push and pull a minimum of 50lbs repeatedly
