Seeking a Merchant/Site Assistant for a 6 month contract with our well-known, global team. This is in support of company with a strong history, beloved brands, and award-winning efforts in sustainability and green initiatives.
Demonstrates passion for apparel/accessories industry and product knowledge i.e, men's apparel, pants, finishes, etc.
Demonstrates passion and understanding eCommerce industries and product knowledge
Ability to anticipate site and business needs and proactively recommends ways to enhance site experience, with an attention to customer focus, understanding the site experience should always keep customers top of mind
Ensures effective and accurate data management
Provides timely information that enables accurate decision making
Begins to understand retail math & financial metrics
Demonstrates general understanding of business metrics and key performance metrics
Ability to read and react to direct consumer feedback
Active participation in meetings
Ability to clearly articulate point of view
Roles & Responsibilities
Participate in pre-season assortment meetings to gain knowledge in seasonal product strategies, priorities and investments. In partnership with manager create a seasonal site strategy and product sorts in support of these goals
Lead weekly site review meetings to review product sorts and linking strategies for upcoming marketing messages and site updates to maximize sales trend and drive UPTs
Daily site management to ensure product sort strategies are accurately executed
Assess upcoming seasonal marketing messages to ensure featured product will remain in good inventory position for launch -- recommend any style/CC level holding/back-order strategies with manager
Responsible for weekly competitive shopping, Omniture analysis and sort recommendations based on analysis and business results
Chase and manage samples in preparation for Merchandise Product Reviews, PDP and Marketing shoots
Responsible for accurate pre-season file set up (Hybris files) and pass off to Web Production partner
Responsible for accurate pre-season product set up (for adoption and activations).
Create purchase orders for Licensed vendors accurately, on a timely basis, and tracking to ensure on-time delivery to fulfillment center
Timely and accurate execution of site-wide promotion and voucher set-up and QA/validation, confirming all future promos have been entered correctly.
