Fitness Instructor - Full-time

Job Summary:

1. Helps with the day-to-day responsibilities associated with accommodating guests requirements at the fitness center.

2. Responsible for coordinating and teaching the PE@PF classes offered at Planet Fitness.

Job Accountabilities:

1. Greets members accordingly throughout the gym.

2. Designs programs for members and select the exercises for the fitness classes.

3. Registers members for Fitness instruction, when no one is registered the fitness trainer is to actively recruit members for scheduled instruction.

4. Follows training when helping customers by demonstrating exercises, designing programs and offering advice to accommodate the members Fitness levels and goals.

5. Possesses and demonstrates in knowledge of general fitness

6. Answers inquiries pertaining to fitness center services and amenities. 7. Performs other duties as assigned or requested which include cleaning throughout the gym.

8. Being able to stoop and bend and stand on feet for long periods of time. 9. Ability to lift 5 pounds or more

10. Be available for weekends if needed.

11. Being able to perform with the team mentality.

12. Basic computer skills.

job qualifications:

1. High school diploma or equivalent.

2. Previous work-related experience.

3. Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.

4. Possess a current certification for Fitness training. Otherwise, acquisition of a certification will be requested prior to completion of introductionary period.

5. Must have current CPR and AED certification. Otherwise, acquisition of a certification will be required prior to completion introductionary period.

Skills:

1. Written and verbal communication, interpersonal skills, customer service skills and the ability to make decisions and problem-solve.

2. Possess leadership skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $12.50 /hour

Required license or certification:

• Certified Personal Trainer
• AED CPR Certificate
