Key Responsibilities:Financial PlanningInitiate and implement financial strategies by utilizing historical performance, current trend analysis, geographical/attribute based store research and cross-functional feedbackUtilize the Enterprise Planning system to plan sales, margin, and inventory components for pre and in season; complete ownership of Open to BuyInitiate financial strategies in Business Reviews, Monthly Financial Review, and Assortment Strategy MeetingsAnalyze, conclude, and recommend strategies to drive business and manage inventories Influence and persuade audience through strong presentations to gain consensusDirect and manage team to ensure departmental strategies align to short and long term objectivesAccountable for development of in-season pricing and promotion strategies Assortment PlanningQuantify and ensure Assortment supports financial goals for Key Items and Fashion product Collaborate with buyer to work through assortment gaps/challengesManage / oversight style level planning for both fashion and basic store clustering and attribute analysis Inventory ManagementPre & In-season planning and management of inventory by delivery/selling seasonEnsure product flow maintains proper in-stock levelsOversee Associate Planner to ensure optimal sizing in both initial and replenishment receiptsAccountable for risk and opportunity associated with receipt management and reconciliation Talent ManagementCoach and develop planning and allocation team to develop and execute strategies that the businessManage and support the career development of the associate planning and allocation team by identifying and developing bench strength Assess and leverage planning and allocation teams strengths and address development needsProvide feedback and direction to planning and allocation team to foster skill development and performance improvementPartner with Director to solicit decision support when neededRecognize and reward quality performance and teamwork.
