Restaurant Server

The Embassy Suites Springfield is seeking restaurant servers for the in house restaurant: Crossroads Bar & Grill. Ideal applicants are motivated, professional, and team players. Restaurant servers will be responsible for coordinating and executing service in the restaurant from initial guest greeting throughout the duration of each guest's meal.

Primary Responsibilities: To serve food, drinks, and to accommodate guests' needs in a courteous and timely manner.

Specific Functions and Duties:

• Deliver food and drinks to guests following Crossroad Bar & Grill's policies and procedures.
• Greet guests as they enter the restaurant, answer questions, make suggestions regarding food, drinks, and service.
• Interact verbally with all guests creating a friendly and upbeat atmosphere.
• Place orders to bar and kitchen via the point-of-sale computer.
• Continually walk the restaurant floor and observe all guests, respond to any additional requests.
• Present guest check to each table and accept payment. Makes correct change and/or completes the proper charge procedure.
• Participate in the clearing and resetting of dining room tables.
• Additional side work and cleaning duties

Qualification Standards:

• Ability to wipe down table tops, table legs, pick up debris off of the floor, and wipe down seats in all areas of the restaurant.
• Transport plates, and glasses to and from dining room, service bar, and the kitchen throughout shift.
• Reading, writing, basic math and verbal communication skills required.
• Mobility required during the entire shift.
• Other duties as needed.
