Staffmark is currently seeking candidates for permanent, full time positions as a Satellite & Communications tech in the Knoxville area!
Ideal candidate will possess characteristics including attention to detail, strong leadership skills, able to think critically, and maintain professionalism in all environments. Candidates must be able to complete a 6 month training period in a fast paced environment before being placed in the field.
Job Responsibilities Include:
Maintain a clean and organized working environment
Work quickly & efficiently
Have the ability to identify problems, address them accordingly
Ability to work with minimal direction
Troubleshoot satellite services
Accurately document all work orders
Installing and upgrading satellite systems
Diagnosing causes of system failure
Repairing signal receiving devices
Provide and extend professional courtesy when servicing customers
Requirements:
Prior experience in a technical role &/or construction preferred
Customer service skills recommended
Must be physically able to perform assigned work
Adhere to attendance and performance guidelines
Basic understanding and comfort working with technology to include computers, home networks, databases, and mobile technology
Able to effectively use power tools, hand tools, and installation tools
Able to perform job responsibilities on ladders in crawl spaces and attics
Good interpersonal skills and commitment to team
Able to lift up to 70 lbs.
