for a

Catering Driver!

We are looking for a Hardworking, Outgoing, Friendly people to serve as Catering Drivers for our Company. This position will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with clients, managing their time efficiently to ensure all orders are processed and delivered correctly and on-time. Must be 21 or older and have a clean driving record of three years.

This position offers a 9am-3pm Monday-Friday Schedule!

Job Title: CateringDriver

Department: StoreOperations

Summary Drives gasoline or diesel powered van to transport and deliver products, or materials in liquid, loose, or packaged form by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Be a strong Brand Ambassador for Sweet Tomatoes and Souplantation.

Engage in Local Store Marketing efforts that result in catering orders being placed.

Check product from order to loading to insure accuracy.

Follow all food safety guidelines.

Drives truck to destination.

Inspects truck for defects before and after trips and submits report indicating truck condition.

Maintains driver log according to D.O.T. regulations.

Assists Catering Coordinator in loading and unloading order.

Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer Skills: Must have a good working knowledge of computers.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Good driving record for the past 36 months. Must follow all Local and State regulations reguarding delievery of food products.

Other Skills and Abilities: Good verbal communication is required.

In order to perform the essential functions of the positions at Souplantation and Sweet Tomatoes restaurants, employees must be able to walk & stand consistently for up to 8 hours, and lift & carry items weighing up to 30lbs for a minimum of 3 hours each day. Reach, bend, push & pull items for up to 2 hours each day and must be able to use fingers, hands, arms and shoulders repetitively for up to 6 hours each day.
