BASIC PURPOSE: The primary purpose of this position is to execute the Love's wellness strategy through planning, designing, implementing, and maintaining programs related to employee wellness. 

 

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Works in partnership with the benefits team to manage a comprehensive wellness program to help improve the health of employees.
  • Works in partnership with the wellness vendor to manage the employee wellness portal, reporting, and other items as needed.
  • Plans/coordinates annual onsite and offsite events such as health screenings, flu shots, corporate challenge events, mobile mammograms and other similar events.
  • Develops and distributes monthly wellness communications.
  • Coordinates wellness events by booking conference rooms, contacting speakers, preparing sign-in sheets and tracking participation, etc.
  • Develops, manages, and delivers wellness programs such as behavior modifications, seminars, incentive programs, special events, etc.
  • Tracks all expenses related to the wellness initiative.
  • Participates in onsite wellness committee and benefit meetings.
  • Researches health, benefit and regulatory trends and their impact on health and wellness programs.
  • Manages the wellness inbox and respond professionally and promptly to requests.
  • Provides project analysis support for the compensation and benefits departments including annual and quarterly processes such as open enrollment and bonus administration as well as other duties as assigned.

     

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

    • HS Diploma or equivalent required
    • Bachelor's preferred
  • Experience:
    • Previous experience in a corporate benefits or wellness role preferred

      SKILLS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Skills:
    • Must be computer proficient with all Microsoft Office products, with demonstrated proficiency in excel and word and some previous experience with an enterprise HRIS system preferred.  
    • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills, demonstrated attention to detail, outstanding organizational ability, flexibility and must be able to perform multiple tasks and balance multiple projects
    • Must be able to work both collaboratively and independently with a customer service orientation.
    • Must be able to analyze data, produce reports and create recommendations and plans that are actionable.
    • Ability to synthesize rules, regulation, and legislation and apply to real-life situations.
  • Typical Physical Demands:
    • Requires prolonged sitting, some bending and stooping.
    • Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.
    • Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator.
    • Requires normal range of hearing and vision.
