We have a full-time/part-time opening for a Assistant Manager and Resident Foodie–Gourmet Food Shoppe.

Must be able to work various shifts per week.

Description:

We are looking for a natural leader, understands the retail food service businesses with an emphasis on gourmet grocery, meats and cheeses. 

He/she is energized and passionate about gourmet food, wine and cheese and loves taking care of customers and thrives in a fast paced environment. 

Responsibilities:

  • He/she will also have a leadership role within the store team must consistently demonstrate the highest levels of customer service
  • Manage all aspects of the operational and supervision of the store including but not limited to:

                   -Upholding highest levels of customer service standards at register, phone and internet

                   -Manage team of full and part time associates including scheduling and new hire training

  • Merchandising and Execution of merchandise assortment:

                   -Execute signing program for key areas

                   -Develop seasonal floor plans

  • Upholding highest levels of customer service standards
  • Inventory:  Receipt, Pricing, Stocking of merchandise
  • Vendor and Buying Responsibilities:

                   -Beverage Cooler weekly orders

                   -Register Supplies and Shopping Bags

                   -Potato Chips

                   -Retail Coffee

  • Daily process of internet and shipping orders
  • Ability to assist in high touch customer transactions, including delivery, customer pick up and merchandise requests.
  • Maintain standards and cleanliness of store

 

Knowledge and Background Required:

  • Leadership qualities and ability to effectively communicate with customers, vendors, associates and management.
  • Good judgment, the ability to make sound decisions and solve any problems arising in the course of a retail business
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast paced environment

 

Essential Requirements:

  • 2-4 years related Retail and/or Food Management experience
  • Strong English communication skills both verbal and written.  
  • Management of team of associates
  • Operate various store POS systems
  • Must have the physical capacity to lift 35 pounds and standing up to 8 hours a day.
  • Able to work a full time, flexible schedule
  • Must be 21 years or older
