Responsibilities: The Patient Care Supervisor (PCS) is accountable for the coordination of patient care across a continuum of services. Partnering with hospital leadership, the PCS facilitates achievement of clinical targets and ensures the quality, appropriateness, and cost-effectiveness of services delivered utilizing knowledge of standards, policies, and procedures as outlined for the medical center.

The PCS coordinates daily staffing needs, patient admissions and bed placement.

The PCS supervises all inpatient care staff and daily clinical and administrative functions and provides 24/7 medical center leadership and supervision in the absence of departmental and administrative leadership.

Qualifications: Graduate of an associate's degree or diploma program. If graduation did not occur within the last two years, one year of RN experience in an applicable care setting is also required. Graduation from an accredited associate's degree program will be required beginning on January 1, 2018. All entry-level associate degree or diploma registered nurses with a RN start date after September 1, 2013, must provide documented evidence of program completion of their baccalaureate degree in nursing within 6 years from the last day of the month of their RN start date. Beginning on January 1, 2018 baccalaureate programs must be accredited. 3 Years of acute RN experience.

5 years acute care RN experience

Compensation Detail: Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended. The minimum pay rate is $37.19 per hour.

Weekend Schedule: Must be available for Day 12 hour shifts or Night 12 hour shifts.The assigned weekend rotation is currently every 3rd weekend rotating between Day 12 hours and Night 12 hour shifts.
