About this job
Minimum of eight (8) years experience of onboard Submarine Electronics Radar/Navigation experience for Los Angeles (688) Class, and Virginia (774) Class Submarine Systems Support. Must be able to accomplish troubleshooting and corrective action/repairs and conduct assessments of the following navigation electronic systems: IE: AN/BPS-15 H/J Radar with VMS, AN/BPS-16 (V)2/3/4 Radar, AN/WSN-7A RLGN with Enhanced Control Display Unit (ECDU), AN/WSN-7B RLG, AN/WRN-6 GPS, EMLOG along with associated equipment relating to the Ballast Control Panel, Ships Control Panel, Synchro/Servo Amplifiers. and Interior Communications. Must have experience supporting Submarine Total Ship Readiness Assessments.
Must have experience supporting Submarine Total Ship Readiness Assessments (TSRA).
Six (6) years full time engineering experience in the operation, maintenance, installation, test and/or repair of submarine mechanical, electrical and/or electronic systems and equipment. This must include experience in evaluating the material condition of ship systems and implementing corrective action.
This position may be located in Norfolk VA or Groton CT.
Travel: Yes: up to 10%
Security Clearance: US Security Clearance Required: YES (SECRET). This position requires an active Security Clearance at the time of hire.
