3M is seeking an Outsource Services Consultant for the Health Information Systems Division, this is a remote position.

Job Summary/Visionary statement:

The person hired for the position of Outsource Services Consultant will ascertain that the quality of the coding supplied by our business partner is accurate. The candidate will be flexible and experienced enough to perform coding and documentation improvement audits and related engagements.

Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

* Conduct client needs assessment

* Establish and conduct production coding and/or coding auditing QA process

* Assist with scheduling between client and outsourced vendor

* Perform quality reviews of outsourced vendor performance as requested (coding)

* Attend designated onsite client activities as necessary

* Responsible for client relationship development

Basic Qualifications:

* Associate's degree or higher from an accredited university

* RHIT/RHIA credentialed

* Minimum of three (3) years of combined experience with inpatient coding and/or auditing

* Minimum of one (1) year of experience with ICD-10-CM/PCS

* Ability to travel up to 25%

Preferred Qualifications:

* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Health Information Management

* Preferred five (5+) previous experience in health information management services consulting and/or managing coding quality functions

* ICD-9-CM and ICD-10-CM/PCS coding and auditing experience

* AHIMA approved ICD-10-CM/PCS trainer

* Preferred five (5+) years of previous experience of working in an acute care hospital setting (facility coding arena).

Location: Remote

Travel: May include up to 25% domestic

Relocation: Is not authorized
