Providence is calling a Registered Nurse (Per diem/Evening 8 hour shift, 3p-11p) to Providence Holy Cross Medical Center in Mission Hills, CA, a Magnet designated hospital.
We are the only MagnetDesignated Hospital in the San Fernando Valley. Providence Holy Cross also has been recognized this year by the Los Angeles Business Journal as one of the best places to work in Los Angeles. As our reputation for excellence grows, so does our facility. We have recently expanded our medical center with the addition of a new 138-bed patient care wing. This expansion has made Providence Holy Cross Medical Center one of the largest hospitals serving the San Fernando and Santa Clarita valleys.
In this position you will:
* Prepare operating rooms for surgery, using appropriate techniques
* Interpret policies, procedures, standards, and regulations as appropriate
* Demonstrate proficiency in delivering care to assigned age specific patient population (e.g., infants, adolescents, adults, geriatrics, pediatrics)
Required qualifications for this position include:
* Current California Registered Nurse (RN) license
* Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers from the American Heart Association
* 1 year Operating Room / Perioperative experience in an acute setting
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
* Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
* Able to circulate in all services including trauma, heart, and other specialties
