Providence is calling a Lactation Center Assistant to the Nursing Boutique at Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage, AK.
This is an On-Call position.
In this position, you will:
* Provide customer service and staff assistance in the outpatient Lactation support and Family Counseling programs and the retail store.
* Assist with retail sales of lactation supplies and equipment and is knowledgeable about lactation products.
* Be responsible for collecting sales monies/credit and assisting customers in an effort to promote store sales.
* Provide logistical support of childbirth and parenting classes to meet the needs of the customers served.
* Maintain class schedules, payment processing and customer support.
* Assist with updating website class offerings and maintaining accurate class registrant database.
* Be highly proficient in spreadsheet and database computer applications.
* Assume responsibility and ensures timely completion of all assigned milestones in a professional manner.
* Provide reception area support to customers.
Required qualifications for this position include:
* High School graduate or equivalent.
* Use of personal computer based software for word processing and spreadsheets.
* Able to manipulate standard computer programs for generation of data and reports, and to utilize computerized web based systems.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
* Additional course work in clerical sciences and personal computer classes.
* A two-year degree.
* Minimum of two years progressive secretarial experience preferred.
* One-year experience in a medical setting with experience in medical terminology.
* Retail experience - preferably dealing with baby products.
