This position will be responsible for front-end development and client-side interactions. The Front-End Developer/Designer will work closely with UX/Creative and back-end development teams to create content for mobile and tablet.
Responsibilities will include design, implementation and testing of new website functionality and maintaining existing code. This role will also maximize usability while ensuring technical feasibility of UI/UX designs.

• Develop functional and appealing web and mobile-based user-facing features, enhancements and fixes by using a combination of markup languages. Responsible for evolving a PSD/mockup, wireframe or concept into a working experience.
• Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs is within website’s capabilities. Also maintain graphic standards and branding throughout the product’s interface.
• Responsible for identifying mobile and tablet site optimization opportunities based on data analysis, industry standards and independent research.
• Test and troubleshoot pages on multiple browsers and platforms. Code and QA test bundles in pursuit of zero-defect releases.
• Effectively collaborate with cross functional partners including but not limited to IT, web analytics & testing team.
• Assist Web Designer with mockups and coding when needed. Monitor and ensure Spanish site assets appear correctly. Make edits through vendor’s CMS as needed.


Education:
• Bachelors or Associates degree in related field.

Experience:
• Solid understanding of (X)HTML, CSS/SASS/SCSS, JavaScript, jQuery and PHP
• Experience working with JavaScript libraries and frameworks such as jQuery, Node.js and/or Angular.js
• Experience working collaboratively using version control tools such as GitHub
• Drupal, WordPress, Joomia or other CMS development experience
• Graphical tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Fireworks, etc.
• Strong understanding of industry trends
• Familiarity with current and emerging technologies, such as mobile / responsive design.
• CMS and blogging platform experience

Skills and Abilities:

Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with all levels of end users and technical resources.
Solid understanding of the marriage between content, design and functionality.
Solve problems by adapting quickly to new web design and application trends.
Must be able to work effectively and efficiently.
