Leading international manufacturer and distributor of high-end men’s apparel is currently hiring an experienced Accounting Manager / Office Manager for their Alpharetta, GA location. Overall, the Accounting Manager will be responsible for preparing month-end and year-end financial statements as well as handling full cycle accounts payable (A/P). Position requires NO supervision of other employees.
Salary: Up to $62,500 + Bonus! Company pays FULL Benefits!
Listed below are the primary responsibilities for the Accounting Manager / Office Manager role:
- Process all accounts payable invoices for vendors and tax authorities and resolve any issues with same; verify month-end balance with related companies
- Process and follow up on all accounts payable (A/P) for company employees
- Post payroll in accounting software and assist with Forecasting
- Reconcile bank statement to general ledger (GL) and QuickBooks; reconcile petty cash
- Prepare monthly financial statements and reconcile sub accounts; post and update monthly recurring journal entries. Prepare Month End reports for parent company
- Prepare 1099's; prepare Year End (YE) leave/pay accrual; prepare intercompany payments; prepare Y-E audit book and related documents; maintain and review fixed assets for updating with CPA
- Communicate with company headquarters on a regular basis regarding U.S. accounting issues and shared projects
- Prepare various reports and daily activity: Sales Reports for North American Sales Director, UPS Invoicing, UPS HTC duty verification, Customs Log.
- Maintain office equipment; order office supplies & postage; handle all maintenance and repair issues with landlord; handle company cell phones with Sales Team and provider
Additional skill set needed for the Accounting Manager / Office Manager:
- Accounting &/or Finance Degree required
- Minimum of 5+ years of solid accounting / accounting management experience
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Excellent skills with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- General knowledge of QuickBooks desired
