A successful Business Operations Analyst will have the following:

 

  • Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or at least four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously from requirements gathering through implementation following the Agile development methodology preferred
  • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript development and constraints preferred and a solid understanding of web analytics and SEO techniques
  • Strong business, analytical, communications, and/or marketing experience and strong/advanced skills in MS Office Suite and Microsoft Project (especially in PowerPoint and Excel)
  • Ability to interact with and communicate effectively with a large spectrum of different stakeholders, including IT personnel, senior business executives, and technology vendors
  • Ability to handle different situations and tasks with minimal direct oversight from management. Applicant must be comfortable working without direct supervision and be internally motivated to seek out projects and drive forward needed initiatives

The Business Operations Analyst – Digital Engagement and Customer Self-Service is responsible for eliciting vision, scope, and requirements for the existing customer website mydish.com.  This role is uniquely involved in balancing the operational side of the business with brand and digital marketing strategy. An ideal candidate will combine an in-depth knowledge of business objectives, online strategies, and the competitive landscape with a rich background in the digital marketing industry in order to build value for the organization through increased digital engagement of its customer base.

 

Primary responsibilities fall into the following categories:

 

  • Organizing and coordinating all mydish.com initiatives, including keeping abreast of larger enterprise initiatives to ensure mydish.com impacts are accounted for and fully understood
  • Conducting research into consumer online behavior and industry best practices and analyzing quantitative and qualitative data to identify issues or trends
  • Devising creative and innovative ways to meet goals as well as measuring and reporting performance against goals (KPIs)
  • Documenting requirements (user stories) for new web functionality and enhancements to existing web functionality
  • Coordinating with DISH IT to execute projects based on business priority
  • Collaborating with creative agencies and business partners to develop web content and design that meets all teams’ needs
