The Entry maintenance technician is a seasonal role that performs and assists in the maintenance of variety of equipment on Vail Mountain.  This may include drinking water systems, HVAC Systems, Kitchen equipment, electrical systems and other work as required.

Job Responsibilities:

• Develop knowledge of Building Maintenance Work Order System (CMMS).
• Assist with maintenance of building HVAC and mechanical systems.
• Assist with the maintenance of commercial kitchen cooking equipment
• Assist with the maintenance of commercial refrigeration equipment.
• Assist with the maintenance of on mountain electrical and lighting systems.
• Assist with the maintenance of Domestic Water systems, which may include repair and replacement of filters and pumps.
• Promote workplace safety by following all applicable safety standards.
• Assist with maintenance of on mountain electronic signage.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• High mechanical aptitude and a desire to do mechanical work
• Work towards the knowledge and acquiring of the certifications associated with the mechanical trade such as refrigerant handling certifications, drinking water certifications, etc.  
• Should be able to work with Word, Excel, Outlook and be generally computer literate. Additionally, must acquire the ability to operate a computer based work order system
• Valid state driver’s license

Other Requirements:

• Must be able to work both inside and outside in extreme conditions
• This position is frequently is exposed to and works with hazardous materials and high noise levels
• Must be familiar with all the tools used in water plant operations, the HVA/C and Plumbing industry, Carpentry trade, sign shop operations,  janitorial industry, general office machinery, two way radios, cell phone, light vehicles and snowmobiles.
• Must be ready and willing to work all holidays, weekends, and evenings based on facility needs and personnel availability.
