Automation Personnel Services is seeking a Safety Manager for a company located in Albertville, AL. Please submit pay rates with resumes to alexc@apstemps.com. Position is temp to hire. Customer is willing to pay for relocation for qualified candidates. Drug-screens/ background checks are required.
Responsibilities:
Provide Safety leadership that focuses on Company s strategic direction and core values.
Implement strategic initiatives
Identify hazards and implement corrective actions accordingly. Take appropriate steps in reducing hazards and safety violations.
Prepare reports and recommend procedures to improve safety.
Coordinate and conduct monthly safety training
Coach supervisors and employees in best safety policies, practices and procedures
Ensure safety compliance with all Federal, State and Local laws and regulations
Handle communication of Company policy and procedure changes in connection with Safety functions and procedures
Evaluation and treatment of injured employees
Safety Inspections with Safety Team
Conduct Annual Safety Training/Certifications
OSHA Annual Reporting/OSHA Log 300
Reasonable Suspicion
Safety New Hire Orientation
Medical Care and follow-up Medical Care
Return to Work Program
Claims Review
Accident Investigations to include near hits
Other duties as assigned
Minimum Skill Levels and Work Experience:
College Degree preferred
5-7 years relevant experience
EMT certified or a RN/LPN preferred
Strong knowledge of OSHA law, regulations and procedures
Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft applications
Ability to thrive in a team environment
Ability to effectively interact with different levels within the organization
High energy, highly motivated, works independently with minimal supervision
Adapt easily to change
Demonstrated strong analytical, decision-making skills
Excellent written and verbal communications skills
Bilingual Spanish strongly preferred
