About this job
We are now looking for an experienced Shipping and Receiving Clerk to assist the Retail department with ensuring the compliance of inventory control. The Shipping and Receiving Clerk will receive and monitor merchandise, research and resolve discrepancies in the inventory control system, verify merchandise shipment, and prepare documentation to assure timely vendor payment.
Responsibilities:
- Working closely with the Retail Manager to create and implement to drive, maintain and exceed commercial revenue targets for the Retail Department.
- Receiving and processing shipment including freight boxes, checking the shipment against packing list, and stacking pallets.
- Liaise closely with the Retail Team to ensure that appropriate stock levels are maintained and stock takes are carried out at the agreed times.
- Keep the stockroom in a clean, well organized manner and be responsible for the security of the stock.
- Check and approve all delivery notes and record all breakages and shortages.
- Responsibility to ensure compliance of Health, Safety & Security within the workplace.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
About You
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant service industry experience in a visitor attraction, theme park, museum, hotel or theater environment; or equivalent combination of experience and education.
- Loss prevention and stock management experience would be advantageous.
- Proven ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and multi-task as necessary.
- Knowledge of computer including Microsoft Office - Excel, Outlook and Word.
- Desire to work in fast-paced environments.
- Must be flexible and able to work a variety of shifts, including days, nights, weekends, holidays, and special events.
Education:
- High school or GED required.
