IT Architecture Consultant - Hartford, CT

Primary Responsibilities:

Mentor junior members of the Architecture team and provide guidance to the Solution Architects, Business Architects and Application Architects
Be conversant with the enterprise architectural standards and socialize those standards within the Architecture team
Provide leadership and serve as a point of escalation
Help with resource planning and task assignments
Help with capital planning
Collaborate with the business to understand/influence business requirements
Demonstrate understanding of cross-functional/cross-domain requirements and impact
Maintain knowledge of current and emerging technologies/products/trends related to architectural solutions
Ensure alignment of solutions with business and IT goals/objectives
Identify and quantify scope and impact of business changes on systems
Facilitate/lead/participate in identification of solution options and features
Communicate solution options to business owners/stakeholders (e.g. architecture reviews)
Incorporate software and system architecture (e.g. infrastructure, network) into conceptual designs
Ensure alignment with enterprise technology standards (e.g. solution patterns, application frameworks, technology roadmaps, capital plans)
Identify gaps between established standards and proposed solutions, and follow the exception/waiver process as needed
Maintain awareness of current technology assets and the capability of each
Understand and adhere to architecture Governance framework
Deliver all project deliverables on scope, on time and on budget
 

Required Qualifications:


Prior experience as a Developer

5+ years of experience in IT Solution Delivery and architecture

3+ years of experience as an Enterprise Architect

Deep understanding of industry patterns for application architecture and integration

HealthCare IT experience
Preferred Qualifications:


Experience in Care Delivery organizations, Hospitals

Experience in Clinical Information systems such as Practice Management Systems, EMR, HIE

Experience in Claims platforms, Call Center technologies, Document Management Systems
