Security Officer - Full-time / Part-time

The purpose of this position is to protect employees, Guests, and company property; assist Guests and employees with questions and problems in a friendly and engaging manner.

Duties and responsibilities include:

• Verbally communicate with Guests and Team Members.
• Write Incident Reports and represent the park professionally if called to appear in court.
• Check identification of vehicles and persons attempting to gain access to the park and admit those with proper clearance.
• Apprehend violators, to include on foot pursuits when necessary.
• Protect the property of Guests, Team Members, company vendors and contractors. This responsibility includes protection from theft, vandalism or fire.
• Conduct foot patrols of an assigned area in all types of weather conditions.
• Successfully pass all training classes and subsequent written exams.
• Must be punctual without exception.
• Detailed Work Includes:
• En force laws and park policy
• Area patrol
• Gate inspection
• Parking lot patrol
• Queue line patrol
• Concert duty
• Post duty
• Paperwork

Requirements:

• Assist Health Services as needed, inclusive of lifting adult individuals onto and off stretchers with the assistance of only one other person (approximately 100 lbs.)
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Must have High School diploma or equivalent, or be on track to graduate in current year.
• Must have no previous felony convictions.
• Successfully pass drug screening.
• Will be required to work various shifts as project and park needs dictate, including nights, weekends and holidays
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Computer literacy. Strong knowledge of all Microsoft applications.
• Must have the ability to stand, walk, crouch, bend, stoop, and kneel occasionally.
