The Network Financial Consultant is responsible for developing and evaluating provider performance improvement strategies, medical cost savings initiatives, and special projects that directly impact the operational and financial performance of network management using strong reporting, analytical and influencing skills. Network Financial Consultants may analyze medical utilization and cost rates across physicians, hospitals and ancillary service lines. This position will also provide technical and analytical support to the branch markets to assist in the evaluation and prioritization of network strategies.
 
Primary Responsibilities:

Anticipate customer needs and proactively develop solutions to meet them
Serve as a key resource on complex and/or critical issues
Solve complex problems and develop innovative solutions
Perform complex financial analyses
Review work performed by others and provide recommendations for improvement
May lead functional or segment teams or projects
Provide explanations and information to others on the most complex issues
Motivate and inspire other team members

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

Undergraduate degree
Experience working within healthcare industry or as a consultant; preferably in financial analysis
Project management experience
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Problem solving skills, including the ability to systematically analyze complex problems, draw relevant conclusions, and successfully devise/implement solutions calmly and effectively
Ability to multi-task, shifting back and forth effectively among multiple activities
Strong level of proficiency in Excel
Intermediate level of proficiency in Word and Access
