Healthcare Economic Analyst - La Palma, CA

As the Data Analyst you will be responsible for supporting the processes that assist leaders in making strategic and operational data-based decisions by delivering timely, accurate and relevant financial and operational information.  As the Consultant you will design, develop and analyze data to measure clinical outcomes and network performance as well as interpret and analyze clinical data from various sources and recommend best approaches for its consolidation.
 
Primary Responsibilities:


Analyze various sources of information and large data sets including encounters, referrals, HCC and Quality

Develop actionable reports for internal clients using various reporting and query tools, especially MS-SQL and Reporting Services

Administer SQL server and data warehouse while identifying critical areas of the data structure and recommend improvements to existing reports and reporting processes.

Interpret and analyze clinical data from various sources including Optum One (Clinical Analytics Software)

Prepare written analysis and summarize results using graphical representations and professional formatting using Qlikview (Business Intelligence Software)

Maintain data integrity and ongoing quality control of delivered reports

Work closely with all levels of end users, including executive level staff, to quickly develop reports which will be used to make strategic business decisions and support the overall scope of the company's business strategies

Create detailed documentation outlining report criteria and provide recommendations to the requestor based on the results of the report

Ownership of a large-scale, ongoing project and/or area that may contain multiple reports, analysis, and representations
 

Required Qualifications: 


Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, IS or related field

2-4 years of experience reporting, analyzing, interpreting, and presenting data to various stakeholders

Healthcare Industry experience

Knowledge of SQL

Ability to interface with multiple users across the organization and effectively project manage reporting
Preferred Qualifications:


Strong analytical and problem solving skills and abilities

Demonstrate strong communication (verbal, written, and interpersonal) and customer service skills, with the ability to exchange information with others clearly and concisely

Ability to manage own work flow and meet deadlines while responding to frequent demands of stakeholders

Ability to take ownership of each project from start to finish and follow-up with management on project status
