PURPOSE

The position is a Lead Developer on the POS and Mobility Development team which supports an organization with enterprise-wide responsibilities for the development and support of applications.

Job Requirements

MINIMUM ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or Computer Science (relevant experience can be substituted for the required education on the basis of one calendar year of experience for one academic year of education).
• 8+ years of MIS and Point of Sale experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job, as determined by the company.
• Ability to work on multiple “open” projects at one time as they are in various stages of development, test, and approval.
• Proven problem-solving and team building skills.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
• Must be detail-oriented and highly organized.
• Possess excellent customer service skills
• Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work in a team setting.
• Must be able to prioritize tasks and be results-driven.
• Ability to work in a changing, growing company and demonstrate flexibility.
• Must pass pre-employment background check which includes MVR.

Major Responsibilities

• Build, Maintain and enhance Point of Sale, CRM and overall ERP systems.
• Integrate POS applications using a wide range of frontend and backend technologies.
• Responsible for the full software development lifecycle of projects including design, development, unit testing, system testing and change management.
• Integrate new products and solutions into existing environment for continuous improvement.
• Develop advanced SQL statements and procedural code on multiple database management systems (SQL Server, DB2, Oracle) supporting numerous end user devices. Tasks include querying data, manipulating data, generating reports, and developing source code.
• Work with end users to define business requirements for new projects as well as supporting existing processes.
• Analyze data and solve business problems related to system capabilities.
• Work concurrently on multiple projects across different business units.

Position Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree and 8+ years of development experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job, as determined by the company.
• Experience with POS development, preferably Java based POS (JDA, 360 Commerce, etc).
• Experience with Payment Providers, Pin Pads and all aspects of Credit/Debit card handling a plus.
• Experience with Java/JEE Frameworks/Technologies (Spring, Hibernate, JMS, JPA, etc.).
• Experience with Java Application Server ( JBoss Application Server experience a plus).
• Front end and back end Web development experience. HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX for front end.
• Experience with Integration/ETL Platforms (Data Stage, Talend).
• Mobile frameworks experience (angular, node.js, backbone and phone gap or equivalent a plus).
• Experience with Testing Tools (Regression/Automation), HP Suite preferably.
• Experience designing and managing databases (MS SQL, PostgreSQL, DB2).
• Issue and project tracking (JIRA, MS Project).
• Retail experience in an ERP environment a plus.
• Experience with Salesforce.com or equivalent CRM a Plus.
• Ability to convey technical specifications in a business friendly manner.
• Excellent communication, problem solving, and data analysis skills.
• Able to work on multiple "open" projects at one time as they are in various stages of development, test, and approval processes.
• Ability to pick-up and learn new tools and technologies as needed to complete job tasks.

WORKING CONDITIONS (TRAVEL, HOURS, ENVIRONMENT)

• This position is salaried, knowing it may include hours which exceed eight hours in a day or forty hours in a week.
• The noise level in the work environment is typically quiet to moderate.

PHYSICAL/SENSORY REQUIREMENTS
