We operate 15 Subway locations in the Portland, Salem, and SW Washington areas. It is an exciting time to be with Subway as we are going through an aggressive “re-branding” effort to revitalize the brand, while continuing to dominate the Sandwich segment of the CSR industry. Because of this we are actively recruiting new store manager to join our team. .The overall goal for our store manager is to make each Subway location the premier, top of mind, sandwich shop destination. He or she provides guidance, education, and leadership to their shop through people development with an emphasis on superior service. Through their drive to improve store operations and service, Store managers impart an “Every guest, Every sandwich matters” mentality in their team.Our store managers follow Subway operational procedures while focusing on main areas including, but not limited to:The Guest:

  • Ensure store leaders hire nice, friendly, people and educate them on the key areas of the “Every guest, Every sandwich matters” mentality.
  • Sees the value in developing return guests and coaches their teams on how to provide an excellent guest experience that will ensure guest retention.
  • Hold teams accountable for excellence in product quality, consistency, execution, and cleanliness.
  • Ensure shops execute all marketing initiatives and roll-outs properly so that each guest is provided with the best possible experience.

The Team:

  • Continually educate store teams to develop a “farm system” of senior sandwich artists, shiftleaders, and managers in training.
  • Develop strong teams. Identify staffing needs. Actively in charger of the recruitment, selection and development of all managers in training and Shift Leads.
  • Conduct performance reviews, while providing continuous feedback. Hold team accountable.

Profitability:

  • Know how to make more money by managing Labor Costs, Food Costs, and Controls.
  • Educate teams and store leaders on the importance of following all brand product standards.
  • Educate Store Leaders on staffing and be able to educate the team on the effects of turnover on a store’s profitability.
  • Be able to direct local store marketing initiatives to identify opportunity to drive traffic and build sales.

Physical Functions:

  • Must have the ability/stamina to work 40 hours a week.
  • Ability to stand/walk for 9-10 hours per day.
  • Will frequently reach, bend, stoop, and carry.
  • Must be able to work in both warm and cool environments, indoors and outdoors.
  • Ability to lift up to 10 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Lives and can educate the “Every guest, Every sandwich matters” attitude.
  • Minimum on one year as a supervisor over at least 5 team memebers
  • Excellent communication skills, including active listening and the ability to ask great questions.
  • Is an active learner with a strong work ethic.
  • Knows how to problem solve, while getting things done correctly and on time.
  • Has the ability to understand and communicate through various communication outlets, so that their team can perform their responsibilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop strong teams and meet business goals.
  • Must be fluent in Office and basic computing
  • Subway experience is preferred.
  • Reliable transportation to be able to attend trainings and meetings.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $12-$14.00 /hour DOE
