Senior Pro Services is celebrating 20 years of service in the greater Bay Area. We have offices in San Francisco, San Leandro and Walnut Creek.

Areas of Responsibility:

We have an immediate opening for a Registered Nurse preferably with a BSN degree to provide private duty nursing services to one of our client in San Francisco.  This job will be in San Francisco by the financial district working 1-on-1 with a private client.  As an RN you will be responsible for but not limited to:

  • Medical, physical and need assessments on a regular basis
  • Administering and managing Medications / Documentation of Medication administered / and follow up with Refills
  • Determine appropriate non-medical and medical care plans. Updating the Individualized Care Plan as needed and sharing the information with the Administrator and the DON via electronic web based home care software (Kinsser / ADL home care software).
  • Being a liaison between the patient and his physicians regarding his care needs and to advocate for patient. 
  • Working with a dietician in Creating a dietary menu that coincides with patient’s current medical needs.
  • Knowledge and experience in assisting patients who are inflicted with MS is highly desirable.  
  • Performing the tasks of a care manager. 

 

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate must be available to work in San Francisco.  The ideal candidate should be available to work an 8-hour shift, work independently, and communicate effectively and frequently with the home office on the care of the patient.  The ideal candidate will be open to feedback on how to best interact with the client professionally as the client is very much involved in his care and very specific in his requests.

The ideal candidate would have a passion for providing detailed 1-on-1 care and be a visionary in researching best approaches/diets/ exercise/ medical care for people with MS. The ideal candidate would be open to growing with the company and expanding their role as the company expands the Home Health side of the business, as well as be available to troubleshoot questions/ medical concerns after hours for the private client if there is the need.

 

Job Requirements:

  • Current RN license and in good standing with the state of California 
  • Must be able to pass a background clearance by DOJ and FBI fingerprinting
  • Current CPR certification
  • Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
  • In-depth knowledge of health and safety guidelines and procedures
  • Willingness to assist patient with other tasks such as internet surfing. Printing data from online sources and minimal task of handling email correspondences. 
  • Proficiency in written as well as verbal communication in the English language.
