In this Cloud Architect role, you will be responsible for the development, communication and implementation of the organization's technology architecture and applications plan, including the components required to support it and in the integration of corporate and business architecture and applications. Primary Responsibilities:

Participate in architecture definition for Cloud Implementations, integration or automation projects utilizing industry best practices and technologies
Facilitate / lead / participate in identification of solution options to meet customer and technical requirements
Provide hands-on designs, prototypes, and implementations incorporating architecture & software engineering best practices
Learn and analyze current industry technology trends, best practices and patterns for Cloud Automation
Evaluate tools, technologies and POCs related to Cloud technologies/solutions
Apply phases of software engineering including: analysis, design, solution implementation and reviews
Participate in an Agile & Scrum methodology process
Articulate and present design/architectural decisions to leadership

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

7+ years in the software engineering and IT Solution Delivery
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or related field
Experience in architecture with at least one Cloud Platform including: (AWS, Azure, Google, VMWare, OpenStack)
Experience with select technologies including: (CHEF, Puppet, Ansible, Dockers, Kubernetes, REST APIs)
Demonstrated work history with cloud architecture, integration & implementations
Understanding of industry best practices and patterns for cloud services, automation and integration
Ability to work independently and willingness to learn new technologies and methodologies
Preferred Qualifications:

Working knowledge of vRealize and other Cloud technologies (i.e., VMWare, Mesos, Docker, others, etc.)
Worked with various Cloud Providers & API's (i.e., vRealize, AWS, Azure, ServiceNow, others, etc.)
Experience administering and scripting with Linux or Windows
Experience with Continuous Integration & Delivery (Jenkins, XL Deploy, etc.)
Knowledge of various public cloud services and API's
