Reports To: Service Manager
POSITION INFORMATION:
Rinses, dries, wipes clean and shines new and used display inventory vehicles inside and outside to meet dealership specifications. The Car Washer is prohibited from driving company vehicles off the dealership s property if under 21 years of age.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Rinse all vehicles on the front outdoor display line of dust and debris accumulated from outdoor conditions.
* Wipe showroom vehicles of dust/debris/fingerprints accumulated from being on display.
* Shine and clean all inside and outside display vehicles tires and wheels.
* Ability to work in outdoor conditions (e.g. sun, rain, cold, heat, wind, etc).
* Use proper eye, hand and body protection/safety equipment.
* Operates all tools and equipment in a safe manner.
* Maintain power washer vehicle, gas usage, and other necessary equipment.
* Drive vehicles to and through the car wash in a safe manner.
* Return vehicles to display area, parked in the proper position meeting manufacturer s standards.
* Notify Reconditioning Manager about any condition that could compromise the integrity or safety of the dealership, associates, or customers.
* When not busy washing cars, help empty trash barrels and clean the shop.
* Report any accidents to the Reconditioning Manager immediately.
* Will be required to follow seat belt regulations and Rules of the Road.
* Arrive on time and ready to work.
* Able to work in a team setting.
QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed above are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information. Must possess a valid driver s license and a good driving record. Ability to drive Manual and Automatic vehicles. Possess good judgment and have a neat and professional appearance.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
This physically demanding position requires frequent movement throughout the inside and outside of the dealership in all weather conditions
