Food Service

Westside of Cleveland suburb company seeking an experienced cook.

 

         1st shift, Monday through Friday 8am-4:30pm

         $10.00/hr

 

Responsibilities include:

 

         Food Preparation: Responsible for preparation of week day lunches and dinners for clients/staff and the preparation and cooking of other needed food as assigned by the Manager of Food Service. Responsible for all special week day lunch requests.

         Distribution: Responsible for the stocking and serving of the cafeteria lunch line. Responsible for assisting with inventory and ordering of needed food or supplies in assigned areas, and stocking items received from vendors.

         Cleaning & Organization: Maintains cleanliness standards within the kitchen and the supply area. This may include vacuuming, mopping floors and counters, cleaning of the refrigerator/freezers, shelving, and other equipment in the absence of the Sanitation Assistant.

         Documentation: Responsible for keeping an accurate and up to date book on all nutritional product information. (This includes breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks). Responsible for assembling Cottage, Group Home and main kitchen information for the monthly USDA report, and maintaining other documentation needed for USDA reimbursement.

 

Requirements Include:

 

         Work involves prolonged periods of standing, preparing meals, washing dishes, and involves some lifting of supplies and catering trays up to 50 pounds.

         It also involves bending, stooping, walking, and carrying.

         Must possess the ability to operate and maintain kitchen equipment

         English reading, writing and basic mathematical skills required.

         Attention to detail and confidentiality required.

         Ohio Driver s License is required.

         H.S. diploma or GED preferred.

         This job requires the ability to cook; math used in cooking (amounts, conversions, and measurements), and the ability to use kitchen equipment.

         Previous experience is required.

         Temp to hire for the right candidate.

         No visible tattoos, no rips or tears in clothing, must dress appropriately, no graphics on clothes.
