(SM)As an Associate Billing Representative, you will work by phone or correspondence to gather information and generate accurate billing statements to our customers for their insurance premiums.   This is an excellent opportunity for someone with office experience who is interested in moving into a new area while learning additional skills.This position is full-time (40 hours/week) with our site operating from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm Monday - Friday.  It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime and/or weekends or holidays. Our office is located at 7440 Woodland Drive, Indianapolis, IN 46278.Primary Responsibilities:Interact and educate customers/payers on premium payment options, billing information (e.g. where to send payment, when invoices are due; information contained on invoices) and/or service as appropriateReceive billing issues/information (e.g. enrollment, contract language, pricing; explanation of medical benefits) and gather relevant data to resolveGenerate and/or distribute reports and documentation (e.g billing statements) to external customers/payers to inform them of premium balancesCall or correspond with customers to verify data, inform them of billing problem/issue finding and resolution or outstanding balance and required payments as appropriateComplete required documentation through internal or external correspondence while also ensuring correct and timely input for various software applications

Requirements

Required Qualifications:Minimum 1 year Customer Service Representative (CSR) experience or 1 year experience in an office setting, call center setting or phone support  role A minimum education level of a high school diploma or GED; or 10 years of equivalent working experience Demonstrated ability in using computer and Windows PC applications, which includes strong keyboard and navigation skills and learning new computer programsAbility to multi-task, this includes ability to understand multiple products and multiple levels of benefits within each product Consistent attendance with ability to meet work schedule including the required training periodSuccessful completion of the UnitedHealth Group new hire training and demonstrated proficiency requiredThere are several steps in our hiring process - it’s a thorough process
