Job Description:

JOB ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Endorse the business objectives, ethics and values of Caesars Entertainment in accordance with the Code of Commitment and Mission, Vision and Values

* Work in an assigned area, such as a dining room or lounge and pleasantly takes beverage orders form guests

* Provide fast (20 minute or less round time), friendly, professional beverage service to casino guests; carries full trays on every round

* Present the beverage order to the bartender and writes check properly while waiting for the beverage to be prepared

* Present the beverage to the guest

* Present checks to the guest, accepts payment and gives change when necessary

* Utilize "server banking" to complete alcohol sales

* Must work events in the Entertainment area as needed

* Maintain a clean station at all times

* Answer questions about Harrah's facilities and services

* Explain and encourage Total Reward participation

* Provide fast, friendly service to customers

* Acknowledge and respond to customers immediately

* Learn and greet customers by name

* Invoke service recovery as needed

* Pick up trash, glasses, and litter in or out of work area

* Keep errors to a minimum

* Anticipate customers' needs

* Seek coaching to improve performance

* Monitor guest consumption of alcohol and intervenes as needed according to guidelines

* Follow guidelines of the EBCI liquor laws as defined by the Tribal ABC Board and/or NC ABC

* Adhere to regulatory, departmental and company policies/procedures in an ethical manner

Qualifications:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

* High school diploma or GED required

* Six months prior customer service experience preferred

* CARE certified

* Must be a minimum age of 21

Must demonstrate the following essential knowledge and skills:

* Excellent customer service and communication skills required

* Excellent interpersonal skills

* Willing to learn and be adaptable

* Attention to detail/observant

* Documented teamwork behaviors and attitudes

* Neat, professional appearance with excellent personal hygiene

* Must be able to complete cash and charge transactions

* Must be familiar with tray service

APPEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:

Overall Guidelines (applied equally to male/female):

* Appearance: Must maintain Personal Best image portrayed at time of hire

* Jewelry, if issued, must be worn. Otherwise, tasteful and simple jewelry is permitted; no large chokers, chains or bracelets

* No faddish hairstyles or unnatural colors are permitted

Males:

* Hands and fingernails must be clean and nails neatly trimmed at all times. No colored polish is permitted

* Eye and facial makeup is not permitted

* Shoes will be solid black leather or leather type dress style

Females:

* Hair must be teased, curled, or styled every day you work

* Stockings are to be of nude or natural color consistent with employee's skin tone; no runs in stockings

* Nail polish can be clear, white, pink or red color only. No exotic nail art or length

* Makeup (face powder, blush and mascara) must be worn and applied in complimentary colors. Lip color must be worn at all times

* Shoes will be basic black pumps with 1-inch minimum heel height and closed heel and toe

PHYSICAL, MENTAL, AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:

* Must be physically mobile with reasonable accommodations

* Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues

* Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English

* Must be able to operate in mentally and physically stressful situations

* Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds constantly

* Must have the ability to frequently reach above and below the shoulder, stand and walk for up to four hours wearing one inch (minimum height) heels

* Must be able to possess the manual dexterity to grip necessary items (glasses, pens, garnishments, money, etc.)

* Must be able to bend, stoop and twist when serving beverages

* Must be able to tolerate areas containing varying noise and temperature levels, illumination, vibration, crowds, and air quality including second hand smoke

* Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends, evenings and holidays
