Job Overview:

Responsible for analysis and response to customer requests regarding eligibility for Macy’s and May Retirement Plan benefits, indicative data changes to customer records, and pension payment audit. Processor must be detail oriented and able to identify and analyze record discrepancies. Processor must have excellent written and verbal communication skills due to direct customer interaction, including phone calls, emails, and/or letters. Microsoft office, particularly Word and Excel, experience required. HR system experience is preferred and must have the ability to edit records in the HR and pension systems.

Perform other duties as assigned. This position is based out of Springdale, Ohio (Progress Place).

Essential Functions:

• Analyzing and responding to customer inquiries, including benefit eligibility and data change requests.
• Completing pension payment audits on a weekly basis.
• Completing special projects as required by management.
• Regular, dependable attendance & punctuality.

Qualifications:

Education/Experience:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and six months to one year of experience required. Associates degree or equivalent from two year college or technical school and six months to one year of experience preferred.

Communication Skills:

• Ability to read, write, and interpret instructional documents such as reports and procedure manuals.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Mathematical Skills:

• Must have above average mathematical skills, including the ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages, and the ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.

Reasoning Ability:

• Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Physical Demands:

• This position involves extended periods of sitting and the extensive use of computer and the office equipment. May involve stooping, kneeling, or crouching. Involves close vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.

Work Hours:

• Ability to work a flexible schedule based on department and store/company needs.
