Home Instead Senior Care in Franklin is seeking an Administrative Assistant who can assist our staff in providing high quality care to seniors in their homes. The office is a small, locally owned and operated company, so the position will have variety and the ability to have a direct impact on the services provided. However, it is part of a worldwide network of offices with professional resources.

We are seeking a candidate who has flexibility, can think creatively, who has pride in his or her work, and who has a strong work ethic and desire to grow.

The candidate will be finalizing shifts, assisting with payroll and billing, calling employees and client/client contacts to verify shift times, tracking accounts receivable and making calls to improve receivable time, processing receivables, assisting with payables, assisting with filing and organizing, answering and routing phone calls, performing data entry, and assisting all other administrative staff as needed.

Objective
:
The Administrative Assistant is expected to perform a variety of clerical and administrative duties.  The Administrative Assistant is expected to answer phones, complete administrative duties (which  include assistance with accounts payable and accounts receivable) and support other staff members with clerical tasks in order to provide the highest quality service to clients.
 
 
  • Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Must have an understanding of and uphold the policies and procedures established by Aubby, Inc. d.b.a. an independently owned and operated franchise
  • Must demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to listen effectively
  • Must have the ability to work independently, maintain confidentiality of information and meet deadlines
  • Must demonstrate effective interpersonal skills as well as sound judgment and good decision-making skills
  • Must demonstrate discretion, integrity and fair-mindedness consistent with company standards, practices, policies and procedures
  • Must have the ability to organize and prioritize daily, monthly and yearly work
  • Must be able to establish good working relationships with management, colleagues, franchise owners and their staff
  • Must have the ability to sit at a desk and listen effectively for long periods of time on the telephone
  • Must present a professional appearance and demeanor
  • Must be able to operate office equipment
  • Must be patient and congenial on the telephone
  • Must have computer skills and be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Publisher, Outlook)
  • Must be able to work evenings or weekends as required
  • must be able to perform duties in a professional office setting
 

Education/Experience Requirements:

  • High school graduation or the equivalent
  • One year of related business experience or an equivalent combination of education and work experience may be considered
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license
  • Criminal background check performed
  • Drug screen performed
