Program Overview
The Comcast MBA Internship Program is an 11-week internship program designed to identify high-caliber talent to build our organization with the best and the brightest students who come from a variety of sourcing channels, including on-campus engagement, partner organizations, and direct applications. In this program you will immerse yourself into the Comcast culture, working side by side with innovative and talented Comcasters. You will cultivate meaningful relationships and develop strong interpersonal and business skills that will set you apart from your peers.
Additionally, your experience will include:
* Exposure: An inside look into the day-to-day operations of an organization at the cutting edge of media and technology.
* Professional Development: Exposure to a variety of professional development topics facilitated through our University Relations team and with senior leaders within the organization. These sessions include speaker series and networking opportunities.
* Mentorship: Mentoring from fellow colleagues through the Empowering Future Leaders Program (EFLP) to help you navigate your experience, provide coaching, and expand your professional network.
* Fun: Continuously develop relationships with fellow interns through social activities, community building, and networking.
Enterprise Business Intelligence Video Analytics MBA Internship New York, NY
Role Overview:
Enterprise Business Intelligence (EBI)'s Video Analytics is a very dynamic and highly motivated team that is applying the power of Comcast STB data and data science to fundamentally change the way media companies develop and deliver their programming.
The MBA Intern will play a critical role in all aspects of the Video Analytics including (but not limited to):
* Identifying new areas for program analysis
* Developing new metrics and other performance indicators
* Creating analyses and directly interfacing with clients
* Working with a team of data scientists and developers to implement and evaluate specific analyses
* Helping programmers adopt the tool and apply it to their specific use cases, collecting feedback and identifying further improvements.
Preferred Qualifications/Requirements:
* Currently pursuing a full-time MBA with intended graduation between December 2017-May 2018
* Track record of academic excellence
* 5+ years relevant work experience in a dynamic environment (e.g. entrepreneur, consulting, finance, military, etc.)
* High degree of interest in the media; TV and/or digital media experience preferred
* Passionate about data analytics and innovation
* Excellent PowerPoint and Excel skills; Tableau, SQL and basic programming skills desired
* Moves nimbly between strategy and execution
* Fosters strategic thinking within a team
* Communicates effectively at all levels, written and verbal
* Self-starter, able to work independently
