Life Enrichment Associate (Activities) - Part-time

Full-time position available.

As a Life Enrichment Associate, you will make a difference in the lives of our residents by facilitating activities and programing at our facility.

Summary of Job Duties:

• Lead, create, prepare, facilitate, and execute activity programs and one-on-one visits/pop casual visits as scheduled or needed.
• Train new activity associates.
• Provide assistance to residents on escorted trips; provide assistance with special events and all holiday programs.
• Maintain documentation in the EMR system in accordance with facility policy/protocol, including but not limited to: assessments, progress notes, care plans, attendance and description of visits.
• Communicate with the supervisor, residents, and other associates on all activity-related concerns and needs.
• Collaborate with associates, families, residents and volunteers to foster an environment that is resident-centered and successful. Teach volunteers their roles by sharing knowledge and providing instruction on their responsibilities in the activity process.
• Function as an effective Briarwood team member by collaborating with other departments. Partner with CNAs to promote resident participation and interaction.
• Contribute to department success by completing assigned tasks and duties timely, providing program suggestions, and assisting with the monthly calendar creation for each neighborhood.
• Track and maintain individual compliance with yearly education requirements per Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) regulations. Maintain educational compliance through Relias training.
• Perform other duties as deemed necessary and appropriate, or as may be directed.
