Description: Inventory Control Assistant
Henley Enterprises, Inc. (and our associated entities) is a privately owned Franchisee of Valvoline Instant Oil Change (VIOC) currently operating 200 VIOC locations in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Maryland, Virginia, Delaware, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Florida, Ohio, Michigan and California. The company has grown rapidly nearly tripling in size over the last five years and is projecting continued growth moving forward. This position works from the Newton Corporate Office and reports to the Manager of Business Optimization
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Inventory Control Assistant will work with Stores and Area offices to ensure we are purchasing in the most efficient way possible, while ensuring we stay within the guidelines of our Franchisee agreement with our Franchisor.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
• Analyze inventory and non inventory order and receiving accuracy
• Inventory setup in Point of Sales System based on automated requests system
• Monthly reconciliation of products, oil pricing, and paid out inventories by store
• Quarterly analysis of oil usage, assignments and tank calibration charts
• Monitor electronic data interchange delivery schedules for service centers and distributors
• Ensure Service Centers have the newest applications to be able to service vehicles
• Monitor Inventory turns - making sure products are not on our shelves longer than 6 months; work with vendors to return obsolete items
• Analyze Service Center and Area office Vendor purchases, identifying trends and overspending
• Work with Distributors/Franchisor to ensure we are in front of new applications as they come to market, moving obsolete items out of inventory and back to the supplier
• Import external data and reports into Datawarehouse tables
• Company automobile tracking, registration and transponder administration
• Serve as a backup to Maintenance Facilities Administrator
• Serve as backup to Office Administrator

QUALIFICATIONS:
• 2+ years working in an inventory related position
• Database management and query experience
• Microsoft Office Applications Proficient level – Including Access
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
• Excellent communication skills

Education and Experience Requirements
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Microsoft certifications a plus
RequirementsENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
• 90% of work in a climate-controlled internal office environment working under normal office conditions.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, use hands and fingers to feel and handle, reach with arms and hands, talk and hear. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may incidentally be required to stoop, kneel and crouch, lift weight or exert a force up to a maximum of 25 pounds.
• A current valid driver’s license and insurability rating is required; occasional travel by vehicle may be required.
• Occasional overnight travel to other regions may be required.
